Brightways Learning staff hold the license to offer Web of Support training, workshops, seminars, and PHlight Clubs & Camps in K-12 schools throughout the United States and Canada. If you work in schools, you will work alongside them to obtain the k-12 specific services and the necessary educational pathway to becoming one of their k-12 Trainers. (I have worked alongside Brightways Learning since 2004, and they Anchor both this Web of Support Work and me.)
PHlock Talk is our PHull Color Web of Support online social networking, co-learning, and professional sharing community. We strongly encourage you to join and participate. (It's where all the cool people are!) Derek co-hosts the site, and a bunch of certified Developmental Ecologists who can answer your questions, show you some new ways of being an Artist of Life, and share the latest research and thinking on what is happening in IYD and with Webs of Support. (PHlock stands for a flock of colorful and unique birds; it does not mean sheep. The name is playful and captures the diversity of our group.)
Web of Support Nigeria, led by Paul and Aniekan Iwok, is the NGO (non-governmental organization) where Nigerians can participate in, learn about, and gain certification in Integrative Youth Development's Web of Support framework. Here they develop the practices that will enable them to grow a grassroots movement that manifests Children's Rights at home, in neighborhoods, in schools, and in youth programs. If you want to be inspired, take a look at Paul and Aniekan's work.
Our relationship with Muncie began in 2017, and one of the outcomes was the community being Awarded the 2020 All-American City Award. ICAR-US worked within the Muncie Action Plan, which expresses the values and aspirations of the community of Muncie, Indiana, and creates a compelling agenda for their future. They are an IYD-licensed community.
Our relationship with The International Institute for Child Rights and Development in Victoria, Canada, began in 2004. For a time, our founder was their Director of Strategies. At IICRD, we used the IYD Framework to inform the measures and metrics associated with Child Rights. Working from Canada, one of the primary Global Leaders in Child Rights, we served children and young people around the world through a Full-Color lens.
